{"id":23193,"date":"2020-05-08T15:45:30","date_gmt":"2020-05-08T10:15:30","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/convertplug.com\/plus\/?post_type=docs&#038;p=23193"},"modified":"2020-05-12T12:56:32","modified_gmt":"2020-05-12T07:26:32","slug":"how-to-integrate-maxmind-geolocation-in-convert-plus","status":"publish","type":"docs","link":"https:\/\/convertplug.com\/plus\/docs\/how-to-integrate-maxmind-geolocation-in-convert-plus\/","title":{"rendered":"How to Integrate MaxMind Geolocation in Convert Plus?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Convert Plus now provides integration with the Geolocation feature of MaxMind.<\/p>\n<p>It means now you can display the popups based on the countries where the user is situated.<\/p>\n<p>So based on the geographic region, like Europe you can display special offers, or if you wish you can even hide your Opt-in forms from the specific geographic location.<\/p>\n<p><strong>How?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In order to display or hide the popups for the correct location for a customer, as of version v3.5.8, Convert Plus provides integration with <a href=\"https:\/\/dev.maxmind.com\/geoip\/geoip2\/geolite2\/\"><strong>MaxMind Geolocation<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>MaxMind Geolocation Integration setup:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Go to: MaxMind Database<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>You need to create a MaxMind account and finish configuring the MaxMind Geolocation in the integrations tab in the Convert Plus settings.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2><strong>Step 1: Create an account on MaxMind<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Visit the MaxMind website to create a&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.maxmind.com\/en\/geolite2\/signup\">MaxMind Geolocation<\/a>&nbsp;account.<\/li>\n<li>On the registration page,&nbsp;<strong>complete the form with the relevant information<\/strong>. You can choose the values as per your industry and Intended Use.<\/li>\n<li>After the Signup form submission on MaxMind, you\u2019ll get an email with a link to set your password. <strong>Click on key.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Go to your&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.maxmind.com\/en\/account\"><strong>MaxMind Account<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n<li>Select the \u201cMy License Key\u201d tab in your user account fill in the form to generate a license key.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Add a description.<\/li>\n<li>Choose \u201cNo\u201d next to the option \u201cWill this key be used for GeoIP Update?\u201d<\/li>\n<li>Select Database.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Go to: Convert Plus &gt;MaxMind Database<\/li>\n<li>Paste the License Key<\/li>\n<li>Select \u201cSave Settings\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image
